Our friends at Glasgow Daytime local Amnesty group are maintaining their tradition of hosting election hustings.

This year’s will take place on:

Representatives have been invited to attend from:

  • the Scottish Conservatives
  • the Scottish Green Party
  • Scottish Labour
  • the Scottish Liberal Democrats
  • the Scottish National Party
  • the United Kingdom Independence Party

Please come along and find out what the candidates’ views are on human rights and what we can expect from them if they are elected. Raise your voice for human rights!

Amnesty International in Scotland believes that stable, fair and prosperous societies are possible only when the human rights of all are protected, and urges all political parties to ensure General Election manifestos prioritise human rights.

    As at least some of the political parties have suspended their campaigning, it has been decided to cancel tonight’s hustings meeting in Glasgow.
    I hope that this doesn’t cause too much inconvenience.
