Amnesty International is supporting anti-racism rallies in Belfast and Glasgow this Saturday in response to the dreadful racist violence seen in Northern Ireland and Scotland this week.
Those seeking to exploit incidents like the shocking knife attack in Belfast to stir up division are pursuing agendas that are deeply cynical, divisive, and harmful.
We would like to invite Amnesty International supporters to join with their neighbours in solidarity to take a stand against racism and to defend the rights of all to live free from violence and hatred.
Time: 1pm, Saturday 13 June
Locations: Belfast City Hall and Buchanan Steps, Glasgow
Organised by United Against Racism Belfast and Stand Up to Racism Glasgow.
Stand Up to Racism Glasgow has also put out a press release on their Facebook page.
If you can please join them in solidarity and to stand against attempts to spread violence and hatred in our communities. ✊🏽
Please stay safe and heed all directions from rally stewards and police.
